nimaz Timming in quran

1. Quran
HOOD, 114 "And keep up prayer in the two sides of the day and in the beginning of the night, surely good deeds take away evil deeds. That is a reminder to the mindful"and Bani Israel 78"Keep up prayers when declining of sun, till the darkness of the night, and the morning recitation; surely the morning recitation is witnessed". elaborates the timmings of Namaz. and you can read yourselves that commands three timming. Offcourse Salats are five Fajar, Zohar Asar, Maghrib and Isha, but to be offered in three timing.

2. Hadith

We, the twelers are of belief that the Apostle of God(PBUH) combined without any ristriction , while other sects opine that Prophet(PBUH) combined salats due to some constriants.

Ibn Abbas as quoted by Sahih Bukhari " the Prophet prayed Zohr and Asr together and Maghrib and Isha together, without any cause for fear or travelling". Ibn Abbas was asked why, He replied: "The Prophet did not want to cause difficulty far his Ummah".
This hadith is also mentioned in Sharh Al Mowatta'a by Al-zargani Vol. 1 page 263. There is a chapter in Sahih Bukhari that deals with the combinatin and delayings of Salats, you may find many Hadiths regarding the issue.

3. From the Household of Prophet (AS)

a man complained to Imam Hasan Askari (A.S.) that he was rich and become poor. Imam (A.S.) told him: - Combine two Namaz, then you will see what you like. (Wasail Vol6, 162)

Several other benefits may be laid down to justify, why we combine the namaz, however we follow the Quran and Sunnah so we combine, and follow both the Divine words of Allah the most Merciful and his Prophet (PBUH) and his progeny (AS).

Abu Sa'eed used to relate that he had seen the Prophet doing his prostration (Sajdah ) on wet mud, so much so that he could see the stains of mud on his forehead.
Saheeh Bukhari, Part I, p. 104

The Prophet used to rest his forehead on the earth (turba) while prostrating.
Saheeh Bukhari, Part 1, p. 97

The Prophet used to do his prostration on Khumrah (Sijdaghah).
Saheeh Bukhari, Part 2, p. 214 & p.243
Jam'a Tirmizee, p.46
Kanzul Ummal, Part 2, p. 12

The Prophet declared that the best spot for prostration was the earth or a thing that grows from the earth.
Kanz-ul-Ummal Part 4. p. 113

"The Prophet said to his wife Umme Salma, "Please fetch the 'Khamrah' (Sajdaghah) from the mosque." The word Khumrah means a small piece of chatai made from palmleaf on which only the head could be rested when prostrating.
